Example of a practice session
– HEMA Study Session
- 5 minute jog/lunge/sidestep/burpee/skipping/high knees
- 5 minute punch/kick/knee-pair up, use sled shield
- 5 minute sword work- meier square, paired counters
- 5 minute Grappling drills-push pulls, foot trips, hiptoss, etc
- Water break.
- 20 minutes Review of previous techniques
- Agility Tabata-windsprints, monkey squats, v balls, pell(speed), bunny hops, lunges, FIT deck plyometrics
- Water Break
- Study new sections of chosen HEMA manual
- Sparring based on the most recent techniques

- 5 minute jog/lunge/sidestep/burpees/skipping/high knees
- 5 minute punch/kick/knee-pair up, use sled shield, drive partner across room, switch bag repeat
- 5 minute weapon work-practice weapon, shield, kick strikes
- 5 minute Strength drills- Various sledgehammer movements-see here
- 20 minutes of review, introduce new drills
- Tabata Strength: windsprints, kettlebell swings, kangaroos, v ups, conan squats, box jumps, grandma toss, turkish getups
